Robert Zannella, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Zannella, is a Foot & Ankle Surgeon who trained at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and is Board Certified in Foot & Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons [ABFAS]. He completed his surgical training at St-Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. While at St-Barnabas, he received an extensive surgical training for the treatment of a wide variety of foot and ankle pathologies with focus on diabetic complications. He has served the Somerset area since 1997 and works closely with St. Peter’s University Hospital where he acts as Podiatry Section Chief, as well as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Dr. Zanella has been the Chief of Podiatry at SPUH since 2018.
Dr. Zannella treats a broad spectrum of foot conditions including diabetic limb salvage as well as minimally invasive techniques for high risk patients. X-Rays are done on site in his office and are immediately analyzed and discussed with the patient. Painful bunions, torn Achilles tendons, sprained ankles, hammer toes and fractures are just a few of the many common foot issues that he treats daily.
He accepts patients of all ages, and speaks Spanish, Italian and French.
